No excuses!
Time, equipment availability and confusion are the primary reasons people don’t exercise. We have taken the guesswork and excuses out of exercising by providing you with program options: at home with no equipment, at home with limited equipment such as dumbbells or tubing, at home with free weights, at home with a complete home gym or a health club workout. You can even combine your home and health club workouts. Our programs are designed to fit into your busy schedule—they require only 25 to 45 minutes per day.

What's periodization?

In simple terms, periodization is the scientific planning of various phases in your exercise program which work together to help you achieve your goals. Each 12-week Truestar program is broken down into shorter phases of:

  • Anatomical Adaptation (AA), an overall body preparation phase;
  •  Hypertrophy (HYP) or muscle development phase;
  • Maximum Strength (MxS) phase devoted to increasing muscle tone and strength;
  • or a challenging Muscle Definition (MD) phase which uses an intense circuit training format to promote fat loss and muscle definition.

 
Since recovery is an important component of every exercise plan, you may find that the intensity of your program decreases every fourth week of a new phase. This method of decreasing the exercise stress in the fourth week ensures that your body gets the rest it needs to properly adapt and help you achieve your goals. Your ever-evolving Truestar exercise program will ensure your body will continue to respond to training. And with more than 6,000 exercise plans available, you will never get bored.
