So how did you do? Is your body language working for you or against you? Are you picking up on others’ body language or have you been in the dark all this time? Some psychologists claim the impact you make on others depends on three things:

  • What you say (7%)
  • How you say it (38%)
  • Your body language (55%)

Learning and understanding your own body language, as well as the language of others, will help you in just about any situation—a job interview, a romantic date, meeting the parents, a business meeting and many other situations. As you are building relationships, which is the eighth Truestar Daily Success Habit, be aware of what your body is saying and what is being said to you. As you score yourself each day on Relationship Building in the Truestar Daily Life Improvement Checklist, account for your body language and that of others. Everyone has intuition and our subconscious will alert us when body language and words aren’t in sync. Be sincere in your ways and your body language and words will work together to build happy, healthy relationships.
