Neurolinguistic Programming
Practitioners of neurolinguistic programming (NLP) seek to move the patients from their
present state of discomfort to a desired state of health and well-being through reprogramming
their beliefs about healing. Usually, the practitioner will ask questions to distinguish
unconscious emotional patterns that affect the patient’s emotional state. These
questions usually regard the patient’s life or condition and report how the patient
relates to his or her present condition in both conscious and unconscious ways. Once the
unconscious patterns have been discovered, the patient can be assisted in adopting new,
positive patterns.
