Emergency Downsizing
By Michael Carrera, MSc. and Reggie Reyes, BKin.
In our time as trainers we've come to one simple conclusion: people want to look better. The reality is that vanity seems to be the driving force motivating people to get active and fit.
This doesn't bother us at all since along the superficial journey toward "better looks" is the opportunity to absorb many of the health benefits associated with consistent physical activity. This of course holds true as long as the approach is safe and well conceived.
Don't put it off if you want to put it on
When it comes to looking better, we can't tell you how many times we've been approached by anxious women desperate to look incredible in a two-piece bikini on their sun-filled vacation or into a dress for an upcoming party. Or in other cases, men who want to get rid of their gut and love handles so they don't feel embarrassed in a Speedo-well, at least not in a pair of swimming trunks, anyway.
